After over a year of dreaming, designing and refining, we are beyond thrilled to unveil one of our proudest additions to date: The Glam Room, Cornwall’s very first purpose-built space dedicated entirely to wedding morning preparations.
At The Barn at Pengelly, we know just how important those pre-ceremony hours are. That’s why we set out to create a space that not only meets the practical needs of brides and their party but also adds something truly special to the getting ready experience.
Every detail in the Glam Room has been carefully considered to combine beauty, functionality, and comfort. The space features:
- Four professional hair and makeup stations with LED mirrors and height-adjustable chairs, giving your glam squad everything they need to work their magic.
- A stylish kitchenette complete with a coffee machine and Mimosa station – perfect for toasting to the day ahead.
- A private washroom adorned with bespoke Cornish-designed wallpaper for a truly local touch.
- A dedicated dress reveal area, complete with podium, ideal for those emotional “first look” moments with loved ones.
- Underfloor heating and built-in speakers to keep you cosy, calm, and connected to your favourite playlist.
This is more than just a dressing room – it’s a curated experience designed to help you feel pampered, present, and picture-perfect.
A Launch to Remember
To celebrate the grand opening of the Glam Room, we invited some of our local suppliers and friends for an exclusive launch event. Guests were treated to live hair and makeup demonstrations from the incredibly talented Tiani Maisie and Ashley from Hair from the Heart, giving a taste of what’s possible in the space.
Gorgeous gowns from Bliss Bridal Gowns were on display, drinks were flowing, and we were well-fed thanks to a mouth-watering BBQ by the ever-popular Kernow Hog. All captured by the wonderful Sofie Michelle and I Do Films.
The atmosphere was full of excitement and inspiration – a true celebration of the creativity and collaboration that define Cornwall’s wedding community.

We’re delighted to share that the Glam Room is now included as standard in all 2027 wedding bookings and is available as an add-on for couples marrying in 2025 and 2026. Whether you’re planning a summer celebration or a winter wedding, the Glam Room adds a layer of luxury and calm to your day all year round.
